Found myself ignoring the conclusions I've been drawing
And the people who are boring me to tears
I heard another mother say she really can't be bothered
Day and night the baby's crying
And she'd much rather be flying for a holiday in Spain
Well I think I need a rocket or I'll surely miss my train
I've got nothing in my pocket but my heart is full of pain
When I reach my destination I wont even know my name
Playing out their dramas on the street in their pajamas
Are the young, the old, the dazed and the confused
Reaching for the pies instead of reaching for the skies
I sit and wonder for a second
If the rainbow's end just beckoned and it's there I'll stake my claim
I was happy in my bubble when I heard someone explain
I'll be heading straight for trouble but right now I'm on the train
If I reach my destination I wont even know my name
How could I lie, I've got tears in my eyes
And I'm not especially feeling sentimental
I need the breeze and the grass and the trees
By the time I reach Arcadia I'll more or less be mental

Somebody from yesterday just reappeared in my mind
And I think he's gonna stay
I don't have a reason and I know it's weird
But I find that I can't turn him away
I couldn't help myself, there was no way I could stop it

Someone lit a candle near my stone cold heart
Pretty soon it was more than just a flame
Now he's got a handle and I'm blown apart
