Groovy Uncle is the brainchild of Medway songwriter Glenn Prangnell. GU began releasing records in 2010 and have released something every year since. In 2013 Glenn set up his own Trouserphonic Records label.Guest vocalists include Suzi Chunk, Miss Modus and Jane Wrangham. Glenn also collaborated with Mare Rozzelle on the 'New York Letters' album. Covers need to bring something new to the table, even if it’s as simple as shifting the atmosphere a bit, which is exactly what Squire does. While both songs are instantly recognizable, there’s a light-handed bit of intoxication to each of these numbers that simply coats my mind with delicious wasted visions of marmalade skies and cellophane flowers that are impossible to deny, causing a sly smile to inch across my face.
